Is it a real app?

It's weranklab itself, installed from the browser: its own icon, full screen, no address bar. Updates arrive on their own; there's nothing to update.

Which notifications do I get?

Rank reports after each check (following your alert settings), finished indexing submissions and index checks, and a warning when your credit runs low.

Can I buy credit in it?

Yes, the same way and with the same payment methods as on the web. There is no app store in between.
